Herbert Falkiner Robertson was born to John Holmes Robertson and Alice Kate Falkiner in 1863 in Victoria. He married Frances May Windsor on 10 Oct 1895 in Launceston. They had two boys, Donald born in 1897 and Gordon born in 1903. Herbert was appointed as a clerk at the Launceston Post Office in Jun 1885, then was transferred to the Hobart Post Office and later appointed postmaster at Bellerive. He returned to the Launceston Post Office from where he retired. He was a frequent exhibitor at Launceston Horticultural Society shows and was a keen amateur photographer, being a member of the Launceston Camera Club. He died in Launceston on 23 Sep 1930 aged 67 and was buried at Carr Villa. May died on 1 Feb 1942 and was buried with her husband in Section B11 No. 34.
