Frank Percival Richardson was born on 13 Nov 1861, the fourth child of Dr James Richardson (1808-1889) and his wife Agnes Percy Peet (1827-1913). Frank was christened at St Mary Magdalene's Anglican Church in George Town, where his father was the health officer, JP and later a police magistrate. Frank was first appointed to the Colonial Government service on 1 Sep 1877. He was transferred to the Post and Telegraph Department on 1 Oct 1878.
Frank married Ellen Nelson (Nellie) Harrison on 27 Apr 1892 at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Launceston. He was described as a clerk in the public service when his daughter Marjorie Isdale was born on 23 Apr 1896. Frank died in Devonport on 14 Jul 1913. See The Examiner 9 Jun 2007, page 44.
