Miss A Paton was a soprano in the Tasmanian Exhibition Choir in 1891-92.
Miss S Paton was also listed as a soprano in the choir. This is possibly Susan, daughter of James Paton and Susan Simpson, who were married in Sydney in 1858. Susan was born in Sydney in 1872. She died aged 22 at her parents' residence, 27 Arthur Street, Launceston, on 13 Dec 1894.
The Misses Paton might be relations of James Paton, a fashionable dressmaker, costumier, milliner and draper of 'Central House', Charles Street, Launceston. The business was advertised in a poster in The Daily Telegraph in Nov 1891.
