Adelaide Jane Rebecca Neale was a daughter of Rev. Francis Neale (1840-1906) and Caroline Matilda Eades who were married in Victoria in 1866. Miss Neale sang as a soprano in the Exhibition Choir in 1891-92. Adelaide married Charles Fenton Monds, son of Thomas Wilkes Monds, miller of Carrick. The wedding was conducted by Rev. Neale at the Carlton Rectory, Victoria, on 29 Nov 1899. Adelaide and Charles were both active in the Paterson Street Methodist Church affairs. Adelaide died at their residence 'Vermont' in Adelaide Street, Launceston, on 19 Apr 1955 aged 87. She is buried at Carr Villa in Section E1 No. 660 next to her husband who died on 11 Aug 1940 aged 67. Two stained-glass windows at the Paterson Street Church were presented by Adelaide in the memory of her parents and her husband. Her sister Laura and brother Francis are also pictured in the Family Album.
