Alice Elizabeth Morton was born in Richmond, Victoria, in 1872, the second daughter of draper and later publican, Thomas Morton (1840-1906) and his wife Elizabeth Jessie Wood (1842-1887). Alice married Charles Albert Sidebottom, a clerk, on 14 Dec 1898 at the Central Hotel, Launceston. Their two daughters were born while they were living in Cameron Street, Launceston: Doreen Jessie in Dec 1900 and Lorna Isabel in Jul 1903. Alice died on 10 Sep 1950 aged 72. She was buried at Carr Villa in Section B1 No. 208 with her husband who had died aged 44 on 22 Feb 1918. Alice's sister Laura and brother Francis Morton, and her future husband, Charles Sidebottom, are also pictured in the Family Album.
