Alfred George Morgan was born in South Wales about 1879, the fourth child of the sculptor and monumental mason David Morgan (c.1843-1930) and Ellen Cook (c.1852-1932). The family came to Tasmania in 1880-81. Alfred, a tailor, married Lilian Alice Clark in 1907. Their only daughter Harley married Dallas Hingston (RAAF) on 12 Feb 1942 and died aged 91 on 24 Sep 2001. Alfred died aged 62 on 8 Dec 1941 and is buried at the Carr Villa Cemetery in Section C1 No. 120, next to his sister Elsie Bishop. Lilian died aged 62 on 18 Dec 1949. Alfred Morgan's father David is also in the Family Album.
