Annie Ward Aspray was born in Sept 1865 in Newport Pagnell, England, a daughter of John Poole Aspray. She married Frank Edwin Hobbs on 20 Jul 1887 in Launceston. Their four children were: Madeline, born in 1888; Reginald, 1891, Dorothy, 1894 and Norman, 1899. She died in Launceston on 11 Jul 1954 aged 89 and was buried at Cornelian Bay Cemetery, Hobart.
