Florence Greig was born in Hobart on 14 Aug 1866, the second daughter of Charles Grace Greig (1834-1897) and his wife Mary Augusta Smales (1845-1917). She was an accomplished artist and a member of the Launceston Art Society. She lived with her sister Ethel in 'Stratton Cottage', 94 York Street, Launceston. At the age of 54 Florence married widower Thomas Scott Murray on 15 Mar 1921 in Launceston. They moved to Cheltenham, Victoria, where Florence died on 18 Apr 1937 aged 69. Thomas died in 1948 at the age of 82. His brother George Wallace Murray is also in the Family Album. See The Examiner 1 Apr 2006, p.30.
