Christina Garrett, nee Ross, was born about 1837. She married John Garrett in Launceston on 18 Sep 1861. Their eldest child, Mary Catherine, was born in Launceston in Dec 1862. Their six other children were born in Longford between 1864 and 1877. John was a butler at 'Brickendon' during that time. It appears that after the family moved to Launceston John had a grocery shop in Wellington Road. John died on 4 Jan 1916 at the age of 79, while Christina died at her residence in Vernon Street on 14 Aug 1917 aged 80. She was buried at Carr Villa with her husband in Section F No. 68. Christina's husband and daughter Alice Wilkins are also pictured in the Launceston Family Album.
