Annie Louise Delmer was born in Hobart on 18 May 1868 to James Delmer and his wife Margaret Burgess. Annie Delmer commenced her nursing training at the Launceston General Hospital on 1 Jul 1890. She was a probationer at the time of the Tasmanian Exhibition and she gained her certificate with a pass on 18 Aug 1892. Annie resigned from the hospital on 1 Sep 1893. By 1909 she was a nurse in Melbourne and lived at 340 Albert Street, East Melbourne.
