Martha Lavinia Boag, known as Pat, was born in Launceston on 2 Jan 1889, the second daughter of James Boag II (1854-1919) and his wife Elizabeth Edwards. She attended Broadland House. In 1919 Martha married Gerald Lasseter Beauchamp of Brighton, Melbourne, who operated Beauchamps Furniture Auctions of Bourke Street. They had one child, Patricia, who married John Alexander Lewis.
