Henry Bellion was born in Launceston on 28 Apr 1861, one of 12 children of James Bellion and his wife Eliza Jennings Gurr who were married on 17 Oct 1845. Henry was a building contractor. On 23 Dec 1882, when he was 21, Henry married Isabella Alice Biggs, the second daughter of Alfred Barrett Biggs. Henry and Alice's only daughter, Daisy Annie, was born on 7 Jun 1883. Henry was not a successful businessman and was declared bankrupt in 1899. The family moved to Melbourne after the death of Alice's father in Dec 1900. He had been helping out financially. Daisy married Charles Edward Serpell in 1905 in Melbourne and died there in 1967 aged 83. Henry's wife Alice is also pictured in the Album. Henry was a tenor in the Exhibition Choir.
